West Harptree in the Chew Valley near Bristol is the latest location to become HeartSafe® - for Sat Nav users the post code is BS40 6HJ.  The defibrillator is located at the front entrance to the Blue Bowl Inn, a country pub and restaurant located on the Bristol Road on the outskirts of West Harptree village and about 14 miles south of Bristol.

About six months ago, Mark and Tracey (of The Blue Bowl) decided to put "a tin on the bar" to start collecting for the purchase of the life-saving equipment.  Due to the generosity of the staff and customers as well as a kind donation from St Katharine Masonic Lodge in Bristol, the defibrillator and Heartsafe® cabinet were purchased and recently installed.  This means that anyone visiting or passing this popular country Inn will have the peace of mind that a defibrillator is immediately available should anyone suffer a Sudden Cardiac Arrest.  

This is the second Public Access Defibrillator in rural West Harptree.  The other one is located in the centre of the village outside the Post Office/Stores.
